ELIGIBILITY POLICY

 

At the time of registration for a championship, a player must have an active GHIN number on file at a member golf club of the South Dakota Golf Association that offers the GHIN Service to all its members;  AND

At the time of registration for a championship, a player must have posted a minimum of five (5) 18-hole scores in the previous 12 months at the South Dakota golf club in which he/she lists on the tournament application where his/her GHIN number is active 

 

Players must be 14 years of age by the first day of competition. The Championship is limited to the first 100 qualified entries received by the deadline. Once the field reaches 100 teams, all remaining applications will be placed on a waiting list in the order received. In the event of a withdrawal, teams will be selected in order from the waiting list. Teams on the waiting list will receive a full refund if not granted entry into the 100-team field. No changes to one of the first 100 teams entered will be permitted after the deadline if there is a waiting list. Day 1 format is Select Tee Shot (both tee off then select best and play alternate shot). Day 2 format is Modified Chapman. The championship is played at gross and is pre-flighted by handicap index. The overall champion is the team with the lowest 36-hole score regardless of flight.

A block of rooms has been set aside at each of the hotels listed below for Friday June 23rd and Saturday June 24th.  The blocks will be released on May 23rd, 2017.  There are several events in Pierre this weekend so players are encouraged to book their rooms early.  Please mention the "SDGA Rate" when booking.
